Have you ever wondered how the gas, water, sewer, communication and power lines get installed? Underground construction professionals! These highly skilled workers are versatile and use knowledge from other crafts in performing their job. This work may involve trenching using equipment at the surface, or take place underground using trenchless methods that allow utilities to be installed under existing obstacles such as freeways and canals. It also includes locating and mapping existing underground utilities so that they are not damaged during construction.
